They had just moved and in the ensuing chaos, a cherished photo album accidently found its way into a donation box that went to the Goodwill in Chadds Ford, reports Rebeccah Hendrickson for 6abc.com.

Now that album has been safely returned to Frank and Nancy Yocum.

They had just moved to Maris Grove, a retirement community in Glen Mills. During packing, the album ended up in the wrong box.

“Everything was getting mixed up because we had so many boxes,” explained Nancy Yocum.

Wendi Shaw came across the album when she was shopping at Goodwill and picked it up for $3, hoping to reunite it with its owners.

Action News posted photos from the album on its Facebook site hoping someone would recognize the people in them.

A friend of the Yocums on Facebook recognized the photos, adding that the Yocum’s granddaughter worked for the Action News Digital Team.

The granddaughter had actually posted the story on Facebook but only saw photos of her grandparent’s friends and didn’t recognize them from 20 years ago, so she didn’t make the connection.

Frank Yocum offered Shaw $3 for returning the album. She declined.
