Last week, Wawa rolled out burgers, fries and breaded chicken sandwiches at select stores. Now customers in Glen Mills can try out pasta dishes, writes Stephanie Farr for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Outside the Wawa store in Glen Mills was a large sign advertising Wawa pasta bowls—spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli and a broccoli Alfredo dish.

A cashier inside said the store was a test location for the pasta bowls.

The number of stores testing the new food items and where they’re located were not revealed by Wawa spokesperson Lori Bruce.

The Glen Mills store on Baltimore Pike is close to Wawa’s Delaware County headquarters.

“This is a very, very small pilot and as such will change and evolve, and possibly be phased out and reintroduced a bit later,” Bruce said.

She added that the pasta pilot is “part of a series of products in pilot as part of a larger dinner platform we have been testing.”

Wawa’s been introducing other new concepts as well.

The Glen Mills store offered new chip card readers at the gas pumps.

In January, the corporation offered the first-ever tiny walk-up Wawa in Center City Philadelphia.
