A Haverford High School Junior’s positive outlook as she battles non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma earned her a holiday night out courtesy of the Delco Group, reports Jennifer Joyce for fox29.com.
Hannah Hermansen, 16, has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments since her diagnosis in late September.
Delco Group, founded by local realtor John Port, decided to show up with a limo for her and seven of her friends, her mother and sister.
They were escorted to dinner at Del Frisco’s before heading to the Wells Fargo Center for the Jingle Ball concert.
This year’s annual holiday concert featured Halsey, Niall Horan, Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, among others.
Hannah also got to meet her idol Lewis Capaldi.
“Beyond grateful that so many people care about me and love me and can do all this for me—very grateful,” Hannah said.
The 11-member Delco Group, with the slogan “Delco Helping Delco,” helps those in need in Delaware County and is accepting project recommendations on its website.
“We wanted to do something where we could take the money and directly apply it to people in our community and make sure all of its going back,” Port said.
