Unit Supervisor (SCI Chester)

This position supervises all counselor activities and provides disciplinary and/or coaching sessions as needed; oversees security checkpoints and resident movement; monitors resident reception and discharge activity; and responds to crises and executes appropriate intervention protocol.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED; three years of experience in management, supervision, and service delivery in a corrections or long-term residential environment; and knowledge of the field of addictions or mental health counseling.

Program Counselor (SCI Chester)

This position provides case management and individual and group counseling for an assigned caseload of residents; creates, updates, and maintains case records on each assigned resident; utilizes conflict resolution strategies in resolving situations; and develops aftercare treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or human services; experience working with a corrections population and with substance abuse treatment; and demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Officer

This position provides safety in program activities and supervising labor crews in various areas around the facility; initiates disciplinary reports on inmates or detainees; prepares reports and maintains daily logs as required; and promotes facility cleanliness and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED; college coursework or advanced training in behavioral sciences, correctional services, or a related field; work experience in a correctional setting; and a valid state driver’s license.
