Harcum College to Host Ribbon-Cutting, Building Tours of New Art & Design Center

Harcum College will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting for its new Art & Design Center on Monday, Oct. 7 at 3 PM at 270 South Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bryn Mawr.

Guided tours will also be offered, as several classes offered at the Center will be in session for the tours.

With ample free parking available, the public is invited to attend the event to see this newly refurbished space in use.

The Art & Design Center is the new home for the following majors:

  • Art & Design
  • Fashion Design
  • Fashion Merchandising
  • Graphic Design
  • Photography

The Center opened its doors to Harcum students with the start of fall classes in late August.

Harcum took occupancy of the award-winning space, formerly The American College, in July 2019.

Presenters for the ribbon-cutting ceremony include:

  • Jon Jay DeTemple, President of Harcum College
  • Alexander Klein, Chairman of the Board of Trustees
  • Julia Ingersoll, Executive Vice President
  • John Hayden, Vice President of Institutional Advancement

Besides Art & Design programs, Harcum College offers associate degree programs in Allied Health, Business, and Social Sciences in many career-ready majors.

Harcum will host an event – entitled “The Art & Design Experience” – on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 AM-2 PM at the new Art & Design Center that offers prospective students immersive, hands-on workshops. Click here to register.
