Pilot Freight Services, an air freight company, has moved into new global headquarters in Glen Mills from its previous location in Middletown, reports Delaware Business Now.

The building at 2 Braxton Way is about five miles north of the Delaware border. The privately held company has annual sales of about $800 million.

The new space, with 45,000 square feet, consolidates three separate divisions that were previously housed in three buildings that included a former schoolhouse.

The “new dynamic office is a purposeful reflection of Pilot’s solution-based, progressive and collaborative culture as a leading technology-forward transportation company,” a release stated.

Designed in partnership with Philadelphia-based Formcraft, the open floorplan eliminates barriers and encourages collaboration and decision making where team members can share experiences and insights in a variety of gathering spaces, the release noted.

Pilot’s new office is outfitted with more than 10 conference rooms, huddle rooms, and alternative meeting spaces, including acoustical booths in open areas enabling teams to gather.

Pilot also has large scale audio and video conferencing capabilities to encourage collaboration between stations in the U.S. and internationally.

Pumped in pink noise provides privacy for conversations without disturbing team members.
