Celebrity biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli, a Ridley Township native, has written a new book chronicling the Kennedy kids, writes Barbara Ormsby for Delaware County News Network.

The Kennedy Heirs: John, Caroline, and the New Generation – A Legacy of Triumph and Tragedy records the lives of a political family often referred to as American royalty.

The prolific author’s latest tome provides readers with an insight into the lives of the progeny of six of the nine children of Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. and his wife, Rose.

The book follows what happened to each of the children gathered around their grandparents for a well-known photo taken on their grandfather’s 75th birthday in 1963.

Taraborrelli used the knowledge he gleaned about the Kennedy family for the past two decades to detail their lives and show just how close-knit the family is. He writes about the good times, such as the annual family clam bake every Labor Day weekend, but also about the bad times and the many tragedies that continue to follow the third generation of Kennedys.

The biographer is now working on a new project, a book about the Bush dynasty.
