Child Guidance Resource Centers named a beneficiary for Sun East Charitable Foundation Golf Classic

Child Guidance Resource Centers has been chosen this year as one of two organizations to benefit from The Sun East Charitable Foundation’s annual golf fundraising event Sept. 17.

Sun East Charitable Foundation supports local charities and nonprofit organizations that assist families in the Brandywine Valley.  Since 2011, the Foundation has selected two organizations that make a significant impact on their communities as beneficiaries at the golf fundraiser.

Child Guidance Resource Centers is a nonprofit community-based provider of behavioral health services to children and families across southeastern Pennsylvania.

The second beneficiary this year is SOAR, Survivors of Abuse in Recovery, Inc. SOAR provides professional mental health services to victims of sexual trauma and their families regardless of their ability to pay.

The tournament is hosted by White Manor Country Club in Chester County.

The golf course’s 170 acres were part of a 500-acre tract of land granted by William Penn to the Evans family nearly three centuries ago in 1711.

It is ranked a No. 3 “Modern Design” golf course and No. 14 overall in the state by Golf Week Magazine.

The golf fundraiser takes place Tuesday, Sept. 17 at White Manor Country Club, 831 Providence Road in Malvern. The event begins at 7:30 a.m.
