Based in Media, Natural Lands is a nonprofit that saves open space, cares for nature, and connects people to the outdoors in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Natural Lands has been at it since the early 1950s, and today, more than 2.5 million people live within five miles of lands under its permanent protection.
Visitor Relations Representative
This position will work at Natural Lands nature preserves to help deliver an inspiring guest experience; welcome guests and provide information in furtherance of Natural Lands’ mission to connect people to the outdoors; respond to visitor questions and concerns; and educate visitors about appropriate use of the preserve, the reasons for policies, and, when needed, engage with people who are not following preserve use policies.
The ideal candidate will possess guest relations experience in a public setting, such as a museum, zoo, etc., or similar experience in interacting with the public; exceptional customer service skills; enthusiasm for being outdoors; a passion for Natural Land’s mission and a strong desire to forge lasting relationships that support that mission; and an engaging personality and even temperament under pressure.
