The Foundation of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware County Workforce Development Board Youth Council are accepting applications for the 2019 Youth Leadership Academy.

The three-day event – held from April 29 to May 1 at Neuman University – is designed to connect local 10th-graders with business, government, nonprofit, and media leaders. During these interactions, the students and leaders will discuss trends, issues, and qualities of leadership in each of these important sectors.

The goal of the program is to celebrate student achievement and the power of leadership, as well as to encourage Delaware County high school sophomores to become better prepared to take on future leadership opportunities.

The program will conclude with a reception held at Neumann University’s John J. Mullen Communication Center on Wednesday, May 1 at 6 PM.

Students interested in applying for the 2019 Youth Leadership Academy must meet the following criteria:

  • Delaware County Resident
  • Currently enrolled in 10th grade
  • Good academic standing
  • Involved in extracurricular activities
  • Interest in developing their leadership capabilities
  • Able to attend all three days of the Academy

The application, which is due on March 11, can be submitted online by clicking here.
