Springfield native Meghan Babcock and Ryan Curran, who grew up in West Chester, crowned their love, which began when they were students at West Chester University, with the wedding of their dreams in the bride’s hometown, writes Kellie Patrick Gates for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Meghan first laid eyes on Ryan during Move-In Day 2011 and told her mother, “I’m going to marry that guy. He’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Despite their mutual fondness for one another, they decided to keep things casual in order to focus on studies and travel.

However, everyone around them saw where they were headed.

“All of our friends would say, ‘You guys are going to get married someday,’” said Ryan.

And they were right. By April 2015, just before they graduated, the two were officially dating. Two and a half years later, Ryan popped the question and they were engaged.

They got married at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Springfield and held the reception at the Springfield Country Club.

“The ceremony was everything to me and Ryan, and we wanted it to be beautiful and amazing,” said Meghan.
