Wawa Selects Local Marketing Agency to Manage Its Sports Partnerships

Wawa has chosen Wayne-based POV Sports Marketing to manage its current sports partnerships and provide strategic counsel for future brand associations, writes Greg Lindenberg for Convenience Store Products magazine.

Among Wawa’s current sports team and league relationships are the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.

POV was founded by Molly Arbogast and works with brands and properties to help optimize their sports marketing solutions. The firm helps clients navigate through the multilayered sports landscape using strategy development, deal evaluation, asset and inventory valuation, partnership management, negotiation, and sales training.

“We’re honored to be chosen to lead the sports strategy and vision for such an iconic and admired brand,” said Arbogast.

Jim Morey, Wawa’s executive vice president and chief marketing and brand officer, said that the company has worked with Arbogast for years and this represents a natural extension of that relationship.
