Founded in 1916 under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, St. Edmond’s Home for Children offers a broad spectrum of medical/nursing and therapeutic services for children diagnosed with severe and profound disabilities.

Dietary Supervisor

This position oversees the purchase of food and production and timely service of meals; processes new diet orders and diet changes when received; purchases food products from approved vendors; and hires, trains, counsels, and disciplines dietary staff.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and ServSafe certification; leadership qualities and the ability to supervise and secure the cooperation of dietary personnel; and basic knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and food service operation.

RN Healthcare Coordinator/Nurse Manager

This position conducts and maintains residents’ clinical assessments, quarterly reviews, IHPs, HCSIS Reports, and more; provides clinical oversight, education, management, and evaluation of nursing staff; and evaluates resident responses to medical conditions and illnesses.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing and RN licensure in Pennsylvania; three to five years of hands-on pediatric experience, including children with developmental disabilities and cognitive impairment; and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Direct Care Professional

This position assists, coaches, and monitors individual patients with their daily living needs, including bathing and dressing; accompanies individuals on community outings while ensuring their safety; and assists in the implementation of therapeutic activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED; one to three months of related experience and training; the ability to use various database reporting systems, including Care Tracker; and the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
