Four of the deadliest stretches of road in Pennsylvania are located in Chester and Delaware counties, according to a new study by Dallas W. Hartman Attorneys at Law.

With the help of 1Point21 Interactive, Hartman analyzed three years of data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System. He then mapped out the sections of road with the most fatal crashes in the state.

A total of 82 segments across Pennsylvania had at least four crashes for the three-year period between 2015 and 2017. Together, they accounted for 465 crashes resulting in 513 fatalities.

Two stretches of road in Delaware County are among the Top 50 deadliest in the state. The stretch of I-95 from Lester to Chester is 11th with eight crashes resulting in eight fatalities. Second Street in Chester placed 26th with five crashes resulting in six fatalities.

Meanwhile, a stretch of the Blue Route (I-476) had four crashes with four fatalities.

In Chester County, a stretch of Horseshoe Pike (Route 322), from its intersection with Route 82 all the way to Honey Brook, had four crashes that resulted in four fatalities.
