DelcoDelphia, a blog started two years ago by Broomall resident Eric Quinn, focuses on Philadelphia sports from a distinctly Delaware County perspective, writes Erin McCarthy for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Quinn decided to put a Delco spin on his blog to help it stand in a market over-saturated with similar platforms.

“Delco is very blue collar,” he said. “They want someone who tells it like it is, doesn’t sugarcoat anything.”

Throughout the last two seasons, some of his videos have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

Quinn – along with Mike Cloran of Broomall and Brendan Feeney of Newtown Square – provides coverage of Philadelphia sports without pulling any punches. The trio live-tweets games and interacts with fans, while keeping it authentically Delco.

Their following is mostly men in their 20s from Delaware County, but their content is also shared by children, grandparents, and Philadelphia transplants nationwide.

“I think my favorite part is seeing how many people really enjoy it,” said Quinn.
