The Delaware County Intermediate Unit provides services, such as special education and staff development programs, to all the school districts in Delaware County, including nearly 70,000 school-aged students and more than 6,000 educators.

Teaching and Learning Specialist

This position develops and coordinates curriculum, instruction, and assessment initiatives focused on literacy and the humanities; manages training programs and ensures training objectives are achieved in an efficient and timely manner; and supports grant writing and other entrepreneurial activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in a relevant discipline and a supervisor or principal certification; job-related experience in a mathematics or science teaching assignment; and the ability to problem solve utilizing student performance data.

Data Systems Analyst/Programmer

This position collects, distributes, and submits information for the purpose of satisfying state and federal agencies’ requirements; designs custom reports and new databases for the purpose of meeting user needs; and ensures timely and accurate data submissions.

The ideal candidate will possess a two-year or vocational degree in a relevant discipline; five or more years of progressively responsible related experience in information systems; and other job-related experience.

Supervisor of Hearing, Learning, and Intensive Learning Support Programs

This position manages and provides oversight to personnel; assists in the development and coordination of public relations and marketing materials; and provides instruction to staff members working with children who are D/HH or speech/language impaired using effective teaching strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in speech-language pathology or deaf education; five years of teaching or related professional experience in deaf and/or speech and language education; and PDE Supervisor of Special Education Certification or Principal Certification.
