The McFadden Group, a real estate development and management company based in West Chester and run by Brian and Ellen McFadden, keeps its portfolio close to home, according to a report in Choices, the official magazine of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
Over the last 35 years, the McFaddens have built an impressive portfolio of properties, mostly within 100 miles of West Chester, where they live.
“We don’t build houses or properties for other people,” said Brian. “We build them for ourselves, and then hold or sell them.”
The McFaddens also prefer to keep investments within the family.
“We self-fund a lot of our capital and only undertake projects my wife and I can handle financially,” said Brian.
The company’s properties include the Brinton Suites in Chadds Ford and Hotel Warner in West Chester.
The McFaddens enjoy doing business with Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union for years serving its members.
“If I could sum it up in one phrase, it’s that you’re not a number at the Credit Union,” said Brian. “Relationships go a really long way in the business community.”
