The book collection at the Delaware County Historical Society in Chester features a number of books that tell spooky stories set right here in Delaware County, according to a report from the Delaware County News Network.

They include Ghost Stories of Delaware County written by Charles J. Adams III. The book lays bare 25 hauntingly good tales, including “Sneezing Nun,” the story of a former Mother Superior who allegedly haunts the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology library, and “The Witch of Ridley Creek,” the story of Margaret Mattson, who was tried for witchcraft.

The book also contains a ghost-hunting glossary that outlines ghostly vocabulary.

Adams explains that ghost revelations are an expanding experience.

“The long and tedious process of searching for ghost stories never really ends,” he said.
