Check Out Where Delco’s Average Weekly Paycheck Ranks Among State’s 67 Counties

Chester County has the highest average weekly paycheck among the 67 counties in Pennsylvania, while Delaware County has the sixth-highest, writes Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

Pennsylvania’s average paycheck has increased 3.5 percent between December 2016 and December 2017, which is close to the national average of 3.9 percent. According to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Statistics, this puts the Keystone State at 12th place nationwide for wage growth.

The data shows that a worker in Pennsylvania made an average of $1,038 per week last year, or around $54,000 yearly. However, this varies drastically from county to county.

Perry County, ranked last, saw an average weekly wage of $630, averaging $32,470 annually.

Meanwhile, top-ranked Chester County, at $1,319, had almost double the national average of $68,578.

Delaware County’s average weekly paycheck was $1,120, or $58,233 annually.
