Damon Erik Williams

Haverford High School graduate Damon Erik Williams has gotten a coveted chance to properly show off his acting chops for the first time on TNT’s Animal Kingdom, writes Brian Bingaman for Main Line Media News.

Williams plays Linc, a motocross athlete who becomes intimately entangled with one of the main characters, Deran Cody.

“Linc is introduced when Deran and his brother Craig end up at the hospital after Craig has an accident,” said Williams. “It’s intense in true Animal Kingdom fashion.”

The role is his most prominent one since the actor toured with the Temple University Theater production of In Conflict, a collection of personal stories from Iraq War veterans. The play was so well received by audiences that Williams and his castmates ended up performing at the Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland.

Williams did not expect to start a career as an actor or entertainer when he started at Temple. However, that changed after he took the Poetry as Performance course.

“The professor was part of the theater department and told me, ‘You have a knack for performance,’” he said.
