Devon Senior Living by Five Star Honors Its Residents Who Served in Armed Forces

By

At a recent ceremony that included friends and family of residents, The Devon Senior Living by Five Star unveiled its Veterans Wall of Honor, which pays tribute to its 19 residents who served in the armed forces.

The community’s glee club, The Devonaires, sang a patriotic medley, while the ceremony also featured a poem – entitled “Our Veterans, Our Heroes” – written and performed by 97-year-old Louise O’Brien.

Part of the poem reads: “How can we properly express the joy and pride we share / For our veteran heroes here and everywhere?”

Seniorly, an online marketplace with a mission to connect families and local businesses by delivering services that will keep seniors engaged and happy, recently named The Devon Senior Living by Five Star among the 15 Most Popular Senior Living Communities in Philadelphia.
