Swiss Farms is using a hands-on approach to keep up with its younger customers, writes CEO Scott Simon for Convenience Store Decisions.

The drive-through chain based in Delaware County is celebrating a half-century of operations. The chain now offers a full line of fresh food and more than 1,000 other items.

To better reach its younger customers, Swiss Farms has invested in a mobile app that offers an order ahead/pay ahead program. The chain is also doing marketing on a number of other platforms.

To ensure it’s reaching all of its customers, Swiss Farms is using a tiered approach. This uses a variety of different marketing techniques with some of them aimed at older generations, while the others engage new, younger customers.

Among these techniques is its new partnership with UberEats, which provides a convenient service for youthful and tech-savvy customers.

The company is also focusing on its social media presence by providing consistent and frequent content for its followers. This ensures it carries products that the younger generations are looking for.
