The best gift to give this Mother’s Day is spending some quality time with your mom, according to a new survey by TopCashBack.com.

The site polled a cross-section of 1,135 adults on their purchasing habits for the special day. It found that roughly 75 percent of Americans plan to purchase a gift for Mother’s Day, with 60 percent planning to spend anywhere between $6 and $50.

However, it turns out that the best gift is free.

Fifty-five percent of mothers said that what they really want is to spend some quality time with their kids, while 47 percent said they would most like to be taken out for a meal by their loved ones.

Gift cards were also a popular choice at 43 percent, as is doing a family activity at 41 percent. Something homemade is also a good idea as 37 percent of mothers put it at or near the top of the list.

The gift most Americans (43 percent) plan to buy their mothers is flowers, while 37 percent seem to have the right idea and plan to spend quality time with mom. A greeting card, gift card, and a meal out are also near the top of the list.
