Amazon Echo Spot, is one of the latest gadgets vying for the title of alarm clock of the future, writes Mark Gurman for Bloomberg.

This addition to the line of Alexa devices is also one of the best designed yet. Echo Spot has all the features of the Echo Show, just displayed on a smaller screen of just 2.5 inches.

Its alarm clock functions are wide and varied. There are a myriad of options to decide from on how you want the display set up, including both analog and digital. You can choose if you prefer to be woken by a sound, a song, or the radio.

The night mode will also dim the screen during selected hours depending on your preference.

Amazon has also created the Echo Spot to be more than just an alarm clock. Other stand-out features include being able to play music, make video calls, as well as a room-to-room calling feature that turns the device into a version of an intercom.

Echo Spot is available in both black and white, and can easily be mounted on an adjustable stand for both esthetics and easier handling.
