Today is National Employee Appreciation Day.

This was created twenty-three years ago by Bob Nelson, a founding Recognition Professional International board member and his publishing company, Workman Publishing. The goal is to take a day to recognize your employees for the great job they are doing.

To mark the day, businesses and organizations nationwide celebrate by recognizing the achievements and contributions of their employees.

This benefits both employers and their employees, as recognition and appreciation are key motivational factors in the workplace.
