Delaware County Community College to Host STEM Career Night on Feb. 22

Delaware County Community College’s 11th annual STEM Career Night will introduce prospective students from Chester and Delaware counties to the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics on Feb. 22.

STEM Career Night will be held in the Academy Building Lobby on the Marple Campus beginning at 5:30 PM. Keynote speakers for the event are Albert Frattarola, Director of Engineering & Technology at Southco, and Marty Morrison, a Senior Project Engineer at Southco.

The college provides more than $150,000 in scholarship money in partnership with local companies and philanthropists for students pursuing one of its several STEM majors. Some of Delaware County Community College’s partner schools will also have representatives on hand to offer guidance to students.

The event is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about a career in STEM. Attendees will get the chance to learn about lucrative employment opportunities from local employers like Brandywine CAD, Boeing, and DePuy Synthes.

Anyone planning to attend should register at the event website or by calling 610-723-4000. You can also register in person from 4:30-5:30 PM in the Academic Building Lobby. Registered attendees who come to the event will get the chance to win a Dell tablet.
