Assistant Director of Horticulture and Grounds

The Assistant Director of Horticulture and Grounds provides the highest level of management and supervisory expertise in maintaining aesthetic and safety aspects of all exterior areas of the College and is responsible for working with outside designers and contractors on campus projects and assisting in the supervision of maintenance of athletic fields, roads and walkways; taking responsibility for horticultural maintenance on all College-owned property off-campus.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Mater’s degree in horticulture, landscape design or related field, and three to five years of supervisory experience.

Director of Student Disability Services

The Director of Student Disability Services works to ensure that students with disabilities have full access to all of the learning opportunities and resources offered by the College and collaborates with students, faculty, staff and other constituents in the provision of academic accommodations and with the goal of upholding the College’s commitment to excellence in diversity.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, three to five years’ experience accommodating students with disabilities at a postsecondary level, excellent presentation skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff and parents/guardians.

Production Assistant, Chester Children’s Chorus

Founded in 1994 by John Alston, the Chester Children’s Chorus (CCC) is the only rigorous music education program currently in Chester. The CCC gives 10-15 concerts per year in Delaware County and environs. The part-time Production Assistant works with the Artistic Director to determine equipment needs for each concert event and will organize a stage crew for set-up and break-down.

Main responsibilities include visiting sites with Chorus team to identify equipment needs, organize stage crew for concert preparation, reserving and renting the truck for hauling and then loading and unloading truck before and after each concert event.

The hours are irregular, with commitment to the performance weekends (typically Friday-Saturday), averaging 10-15 hours per concert weekend

In addition to enjoying working with children, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a clean driving record, and the ability to manage a small crew of high school students that assist in the set-up and break-down.
