The Crozer-Keystone Health System has partnered with the Global Neurosciences Institute to provide clinically advanced brain and spine care services to local patients, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Global Neurosciences Institute is a group of Pennsylvania and New Jersey neurosurgeons, neurologists, and researchers led by Dr. Erol Veznedaroglu.

Under the new partnership, Crozer-Keystone’s board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons will work with GNI’s team to create a collaborative institute. They will use the latest research and technologies to help diagnose and treat patients inflicted with a variety of neurological conditions such as strokes, brain tumors, concussion, and Alzheimer’s disease.

“The practitioners at GNI are focused on improving patient care by pioneering new surgical techniques and inventing new therapies, while keeping their patients at the forefront of everything they do,” said Patrick Gavin, Crozer-Keystone’s CEO.

He said that the partnership will make it possible for Crozer-Keystone to offer patients the most advanced neurological care. The partnership will also give patients access to trials for new surgical treatments not available elsewhere in the region.
