After being damaged by a severe wind storm last year, Swiss Farms in Havertown recently celebrated its reopening, writes Peg DeGrassa for the News of Delaware County.

The powerful storm left thousands in Delaware County without power and the Swiss Farms store at 820 North Eagle Road without its iconic silo.

Now, the newly refurbished Swiss Farms designed by Linn Architects of Media has been returned to life by the Swiss Farms maintenance team. It worked tirelessly to rebuild the drive-through store for the grand reopening.

During the celebration, Swiss Farms showcased its revitalized look and celebrated with free hotdogs, freshly prepared Swiss Farms Philly Cheesesteak Dip, its trademark Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese, and other favorites.

The event also offered fun activities for the entire family, including “Spin the Wheel,” which gave lucky participants special prizes to take home. Cruiser, the store’s mascot, was also kept busy throughout the day, taking photos with visitors and handing out coupons.
