Two Cheyney Students Receive Gundaker Foundation Scholarships
A recent Cheyney University graduate and a current junior have received scholarships from the Gundaker Foundation, a nonprofit that provides scholarships based on Rotary Club endorsements, according to a report in The Philadelphia Tribune.
The foundation awarded graduate Samih Taylor, who will attend Penn’s prestigious veterinary school, a $3,000 scholarship.
“It was a pleasure for us to meet and interview Samih and to award her one of the prestigious Gundaker Graduate Scholarships,” said Theodora Voulgaris, Chair of the Gundaker Foundation Graduate Grants Committee.

Nina-Simone Beaver, a junior at Cheyney, was awarded $2,500 for this semester. She is one of nine undergraduates across the region to split $15,000 in grants.
Beaver, a Business Administration major, aspires to be an insurance underwriter, and is a firm believer in giving back to the community.
