Malvern Federal Savings Bank has announced the establishment of a new equestrian business focus.

The bank will offer horse owners, horse farms, and other equestrian-related clientele private banking and wealth management services, including deposit solutions, investment management, credit solutions, and self-direct IRAs.

The bank’s newest representative office – located in the heart of Palm Beach, Fla. – positions its professionals to be readily available to offer their myriad of specialized financial services to equestrian communities and Palm Beach alike.

“Much of our service area in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida is a mecca for equestrians of all disciplines – dressage, show jumping, horse racing, polo, and more,” said Anthony C. Weagley, President and CEO of Malvern Bancorp. “We have deep knowledge of the needs of this market and understand the special financial challenges these individuals face. We speak their language. And Malvern has the range of solutions and offers the exceptional client service this high-end market wants and deserves.”

In May 2017, Malvern opened the Palm Beach office, and appointed Hillary Dobbs as Associate Private Banker. Dobbs, a graduate of Harvard University, is one of the world’s most accomplished equestrians, having won 31 International Grand Prix show jumping events. Dobbs won four gold and silver medals representing the United States in international team competition, and she placed sixth at both the 2008 Olympic Trials and the 2010 World Equestrian Games Trials.

Most recently, Dobbs served as hunt seat coach for the University of South Carolina’s equestrian team, one of the nation’s strongest collegiate equestrian programs.

Weagley is a long-time part owner of Blue Mountain Quarter Horses in Slatington. Blue Mountain breeds quarter horses for racing competitions throughout the U.S.

Malvern’s wealth management partner, Bell Rock Capital, will offer its financial expertise to new equestrian-focused clients in each of Malvern’s offices.
