Mothers, babies, and families in Delaware County have been enrolling in supportive services through Women’s and Children’s Health Services for 25 years.
WCHS provides home visiting case management and nurse programs to women during pregnancy and with children under the age of two. Thousands of families in Delaware County have been a part of these programs since 1997.
To celebrate this milestone, the Crozer-Keystone Community Foundation will host a week-long series of 25th Anniversary events, beginning with the Healthy Start and Nurse-Family Partnership Family Reunion and Baby Buggy Walk on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 1-5 PM at Memorial Park located at 2300 West 7th Street in Chester.
The event program will include:
Picnic and Graduation for Families
- 1-2 PM: Registration, food, games, music, resource fair, socializing
- 2-2:30 PM: Graduation for Nurse-Family Partnership and Healthy Start families
Baby Buggy Walk and Decorated Stroller Contest
- 3:30-4 PM: Baby Buggy Walk on 7th Street (one mile)
- 4-4:30 PM: Decorated Stroller/Buggy Contest
