Nicholas Quercetti and John Di Giorgio

Nicholas Quercetti and John Di Giorgio – chairman and president, respectively, of the UNICO Village Foundation – recently presented Neumann University president Dr. Rosalie Mirenda with a check for $10,000 to support the university’s radio station.

UNICO Village is the largest Italian-American service organization in the U.S., and the purpose of its nonprofit foundation is to receive, accept, and make gifts, donations, grants, scholarships, fellowships, and the like for charitable, educational, literary, and religious purposes.

Neumann radio started its online programming in January 2008 and was approved for an FM signal in August 2015 – as WNUW, 98.5. The FM slot allows the students, staff, and surrounding community to tune in while driving in their cars.

Officially, the radio signal has a 3.5-mile radius, but Neumann Media General Manager Sean McDonald has been able to pick up the station in West Chester and Wilmington.

The station broadcasts 24/7 with students and faculty hosting a variety of programs, including sports talk, politics, and jazz and rock hours.

Neumann Media has four components: WNUW 98.5, NeuPress, NeuVideo, and Neumann Sports Network. These organizations provide top-notch professional technology and mentoring for students who major in Communication and Digital Media and for those in other majors who want an opportunity for creative expression.
