A new report in the Philadelphia Business Journal ranked the Top 25 Most-Educated Neighborhoods by ZIP code in Greater Philadelphia.

Included in the criteria are the highest number of adults with advanced degrees and data on population, median household incomes, and workers in management, business, science, and arts occupations.

Four Delaware County ZIP codes cracked the Top 25: Chadds Ford, Wayne, Villanova, and Haverford.

Some interesting facts that the data revealed are:

  • In Chadds Ford, the poverty rate is just 2.5 percent.
  • In Wayne, 74.7 percent of adults aged 25 and older have a bachelor’s degree.
  • In Villanova, the median household income is $188,977.
  • In Haverford, 44.1 percent of adults aged 25 and older have an advanced degree.

“It’s no secret that increased levels of education have a strong correlation to higher salaries in the workplace, which also affects affluence levels,” the article stated.
