Marketing Professional Leaves Jewelry Manufacturer in Aston to Open Digital Agency

By

After years of working at John Wind Maximal Art in Aston, Lauren Moreno decided to get a degree from Temple University and open her own digital agency.

After learning the ropes of running a business at John Wind Maximal Art, a jewelry store in Aston, Lauren Moreno went back to school before venturing out on her own, writes Marielle Mondon for Technical.ly.

Moreno, who already had a bachelor’s in fine arts, realized that going back to school after a decade might be difficult. However, she found the right fit in Temple University’s Digital Innovation in Marketing, an online master’s program.

This weekly, 16-month program teaches both the creativity of marketing in a digital world and the relevant technological skills. This helped Moreno discover she had passion for digital marketing and motivated her to become the co-founder of a digital marketing agency, Team 624 Communications.

“Our goal is to provide today’s digital marketer with both the marketing and technology skills they need to innovate in digital space,” said Amy Lavin, DIM program director.

Moreno credits her studies for the decision to make a change in her career.

“You get out of it what you put in,” she said. “That’s how you’re actually going to get ahead in the industry.”
