This weekend, Longwood Gardens will reopen the main fountain garden after a two-year, $90 million renovation.

Four thousand pieces of carved limestone were removed and sent to conservators, while underground pipe was also removed so a new infrastructure of underground concrete tunnels could be built.

The restored gardens will wow visitors with water streams that will spin, spiral, and shoot up in the air. They are illuminated by 1,400 LED lights that can create infinite color combinations. To top it all off, some of the jets will incorporate propane flames.
