SAP isn’t just a leading pioneer of global business software for its customers; it’s also a leading pioneer of tech-savvy benefits for its employees.

“SAP uses its own technology to help its employees do their jobs better and not feel lost in a software company with 21,000 employees in North America, some 3,500 in its Newtown Square headquarters,” stated a Philadelphia Inquirer report by Paul Jablow.

Because of that, SAP just won a special Clued-In Senior Management award from the Inquirer’s Top Workplaces survey.

“Technology allows the company to create a more personalized experience,” said Vice President of Human Resources Jewell Parkinson. “The employee feels you know who they are, and that helps you provide coaching and feedback.”

The other half of that is the perspective and attitude of senior managers.

“We have conversations where the answer isn’t ‘no,’ but ‘yes, but,’” said Senior Manager Andy Williams.

And SAP offers an array of special employee benefits for everything from fertility and childbirth to diabetes and advanced genetic testing.

“We’re focused on everything in the employee’s life cycle,” Parkinson said, “from pre-hire to retire.”
