Philly Tech Week comes back to Delaware County, for the third year in a row with the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. Philly Tech Week: Suburban Innovation is an initiative by the Chamber to host tech events outside the city limits during Tech Week (Friday, April 28 to Saturday, May 6).

In an effort to give Chamber members and presenters a larger footprint, the Chamber has opened events to the entire city of Philadelphia and surrounding area, while also adding value to business owners to learn tech skills that help them grow.

On Monday, May 1, Matson Consulting Group will be presenting “How to Leverage Google Analytics to Grow Your Business Online and Offline” at 11 AM at the Chamber’s office in Springfield. As the web has replaced the Yellow Pages, it’s increasingly important for business owners to know and understand how current and potential clients are likely using their websites. Discuss fundamental, modern best practices for businesses of all types and how to leverage the incredible, free Google Analytics tool to learn more about your customers.

On Tuesday, May 2, SCORE Chester & Delaware County will be hosting “Social Media Boot Camp” at the Marple Library in Broomall at 8:30 AM. Learn how to effectively use social media for your business and which channels are best for your business.

On Thursday, May 4, the Tech Wise Group will be discussing cloud technology for your business in “Biz Tech 101” at 11 AM at the Chamber’s office in Springfield. Technology plays into every aspect of a business, from accounting to sales and marketing to customer service and even the most basic communications among your team. The rapid changes in technology, especially the rise of cloud services, have provided more powerful and less expensive options for companies, regardless of size. The cloud can help small businesses look bigger than they are and keep them ahead in a competitive marketplace.

Friday, May 5 will be not so much learning skills for your business, but instead an opportunity to see what STEM initiatives are happening in the classrooms in Delaware County. Visit Bethel Springs Elementary or Ridley Middle School to see students showcase their coding skills and makerspaces.

All Delaware County tech events, will have a drawing for a year subscription to Office 365.
