The Investment Fund for Foundations, based in Radnor, has named Robert Zion, the former Chief Operating Officer at Hirtle Callaghan & Co., to its newly created COO position.
Zion will develop the new role of Chief Operating Officer at TIFF to oversee finance, operations, information technology, legal affairs, and human resources. He will report to CEO Richard Flannery and be included in all operational and strategic aspects of the firm. He will also become a member of the TIFF Management Committee.
Zion was a senior officer at Hirtle Callaghan, which offers outsourced Chief Investment Officer services to family groups, endowments, and foundations. He also served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors at the firm.
Zion, who holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and is a Certified Public Accountant, has been a COO for the last decade. Prior to that, he served as Hirtle Callaghan’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he moved to from being a Senior Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York.
“Having a superbly qualified individual like Rob Zion join TIFF in this new position will enable us to focus even more intensively on delivering investment excellence and responsive investment solutions to the nonprofit community,” said Flannery.
