Folsom’s Rock School Prepared Glenolden Native for Success on National Television

Audra McLaughlin

Before moving on to wow the country with her performances on The Voice, a new star on the country music scene honed her singing and songwriting skills at Folsom’s Let There Be Rock School, according to sponsored content from Philadelphia magazine.

Delaware County’s Audra McLaughlin has a powerful voice and a powerful message after her dreams of singing in front of big crowds were stymied by her stage fright and struggles with bullying.

“I’ve been singing all of my life, but I was always nervous about performing in front of crowds of people,” said McLaughlin.

However, the Glenolden native overcame those fears by channeling her passion for music, and has become a beacon of hope for the thousands of others who share her anxiety.

Prior to The Voice, McLaughlin found her footing in country music at the Let There Be Rock School, bringing her once-distant dream much closer to reality.

“I’ve taken my painful experiences and channeled them into singing and songwriting,” she said. “I want to show every young person out there that, when you follow your passion, you can overcome anything.”

McLaughlin is currently touring the country to promote her latest album Tennessee Cowboy.
