Hillary Clinton won Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks counties by 179,000 votes, an improvement of more than 50,000 votes over President Obama’s totals in 2012, according to a staff report in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Some interesting facts regarding the vote in Delaware County include:

  • The entire cluster of Tinicum, Norwood, Prospect Park, Ridley, and Ridley Park flipped from blue to red, as each town voted for Barack Obama in 2012, but voted for Donald Trump in 2016.
  • Ditto for Upper Chichester, Lower Chichester, and Brookhaven.
  • Chadds Ford, Middletown, and Chester Heights flipped from red to blue, as each town voted for Mitt Romney in 2012, but voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
  • The following towns voted overwhelmingly for Clinton:
    • Yeadon (94.6 percent)
    • Chester (92.2)
    • Darby Borough (91.9)
    • Colwyn (89.1)
    • Chester Township (88.9)
    • Sharon Hill (83.6)
    • East Lansdowne (81.7)
    • Lansdowne (80.1)
