Payroll Specialist
This position performs daily payroll area operations and manages the Banner HR module as it relates to payroll to ensure the accuracy of employee pay. He/she prepares and processes the payroll on a bi-weekly basis. The person researches, analyzes, and resolves all technical, bank, or other payroll issues presented by employees or outside agency representatives. He/she understands the proper taxation of employer paid benefits, and reconciles and files all payments to taxing authorities.
The ideal candidate will preferably possess an associate degree in accounting or business. The person will have three to five years of experience in payroll, including experience with multiple tax jurisdictions and tax filings. He/she will preferably have work experience in higher education.
Transfer Evaluation Specialist
This position manages and maps transfer course articulation, specifically for PA TRAC. He/she provides timely responses for credit evaluations to maximize enrollment yield of admitted transfer students and retention of current students. The person maintains regular contact with department chairs concerning equivalencies, articulation agreements, student questions, and preliminary transcript equivalencies. He/she maintains the confidentiality of student records in compliance with federal law.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures regarding transfer credit. He/she will have in-depth knowledge of ACE and AACRAO best practices. The person will have the ability to develop and maintain in-depth familiarity with the university’s undergraduate catalog, and apply policy to specific tasks.
