Allison Stoutland is a popular children’s author in Rose Valley. She also happens to be the wife of Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, and is known as “Mama Bear” to the Eagles, writes Alex Coffey for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The former teacher has been with her husband for 33 years throughout his coaching career. These days, you’ll find her bringing baked goods and comfort to the Eagles.
Players receive birthday texts from 61-year-old Allison. She makes homemade blankets for the lineman as Christmas presents, hosts players for dinner, and their wives on overnight Shore trips. She delivers baked goods year-round.
“She just has this ‘Don’t mess with one of mine,’ Mama Bear [attitude],” said retired Eagle Jason Kelce of Haverford..
In fact, when Kelce first met his future wife, Kylie, Allison made sure she wasn’t going to “screw over Jason.”
“I felt it was my responsibility to tell her I was watching her,” Allison said, “and that if she did anything wrong, I’d find her and I’d [expletive] her up.”
Allison said Kylie wasn’t offended, and to this day, they remain close.
