The “Six Degrees of Delaware County” event will be held on Oct. 8 to celebrate the heritage and community of Delaware County, writes Peg DeGrassa for Delaware County News Network.

The festivities will start at 7 PM in the showroom and a large tent at Team Toyota in Glen Mills. It will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Central Delaware County and Glen Mills/Thornbury.

The event will support Delaware County’s first responders, including the fallen heroes. Proceeds will benefit first responders’ programs like the Delaware County Heroes Scholarship Fund and the Delaware County Fallen Fire Fighter and EMS Memorial.

Six Degrees of Delaware County will recognize the numerous nostalgic stories, history, and institutions that support the fabric of the county, as well as the innovators and future icons of the community. Attendees can enjoy live music by Media’s The White Walls Band, Delaware County history and memorabilia displays, raffle baskets, and refreshments.
