On Sept. 28, Penn State Brandywine’s Office of Career Services is hosting its annual “speed networking” event in partnership with local Penn State alumni to help students gain confidence as networkers, writes Haleigh Swansen for the college’s website.

During the event at the Tomezsko Lounge at 12:15 PM, students get to interact with Penn State alumni so they can practice marketing themselves to potential employers.

“This is a fun and relaxed way to connect with alumni and hone your networking skills,” said Christine Allen, coordinator of Career Services at Penn State Brandywine.

Allen encourages all students to take advantage of the event.

“Ask yourself if you’re uncomfortable with networking,” she said, “and if you are, that’s your reason to go!”
