New Apartment Complex in Media to Revitalize West Side of Borough

BET Investments is building a new apartment complex, the West End Flats, in Media.

Horsham’s BET Investments is moving ahead with construction of a new apartment complex on its newly purchased site in the heart of Media, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The property at 438 Baltimore Pike, which sits across from the Sterling Pig Brewery, is one of the first multifamily projects in downtown Media in years. It’s also one of the first to be constructed under the newly adopted gateway overlay district, which aims to help revitalize the west side of the borough.

The project called West End Flats will have 162 units averaging 1,050 square feet. The complex will consist of two levels of parking, four levels of apartments, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center.

This is not BET’s first investment in Media, as the company is already redeveloping the nearby Granite Run Mall.

BET plans to connect Granite Run with the West End Flats by operating a shuttle between the two properties to help develop ties between the complexes.
