An entree from Pho Street, Delaware County's Vietnamese restaurant

Pho Street, Delaware County’s new and upcoming Vietnamese restaurant chain, is expanding into the Philadelphia Central Business District by opening a new location on Market Street, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup dish, is proving to be a very successful product for the fledgling restaurant chain, as the company already has a location in Springfield and another in Bryn Mawr.

Now, it has signed a lease for a third 3,700-square-foot, 120-seat location on Market Street, which it plans to open sometime in early 2017.

Not only will this be its first foray into Philadelphia, but the company will also be testing out a new fast-food concept with self-service kiosks where customers can punch in their order for counter pickup.

“They have a very small window as far as the lunch crowd goes,” said Lance Nguyen, a Century 21 broker representing Pho Street. “They’re trying to capture as many seats as they can for the short amount of time.”
