Mortgage Loan Closer

This position will prepare and review critical closing documents for mortgage home loans and will be responsible for working closely with title companies to ensure all policies and procedures are maintained. The incumbent will work closely with the Loan Processors to ensure accuracy of documents and submissions. He/she will be focusing on mortgage assignment creation (including creating assignments, title searches, and understanding chain of title and vesting).

The ideal candidate will possess at least an Associate’s Degree, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in mortgage loan closing (conventional and government, purchase and refinance, FHZ/VA). Strong customer service skills are required, as is knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements.

Mortgage Loan Processor

This position will be responsible for the comprehensive gathering of all necessary information needed for the processing and closing of mortgage loan request in a timely accurate and professional manner, according to bank policy, regulatory compliance guidelines, and legal requirements. This will include processing applications for review by credit and obtaining documents necessary for the credit decision, receiving and logging file request, and reviewing applications and supporting documentation to determine completeness of file.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Mortgage Loan experience. He/she should have knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC, Compliance, legal documents, and government lending regulation guidelines for mortgage loans. He/she must have the ability to resolve problems quickly.

Mortgage Underwriter

This position will review applications, financial information, and credit-bureau data to render credit decisions. The incumbent will use credit-scoring tools in the decision-makings while calculating debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios, as well as analyzing collateral value offered. He/she will apply consumer, small business, and mortgage loan policies in rendering decisions. The person will also communicate lending decisions to the appropriate branch or sales officer.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree, and have a minimum of two to four years of credit review experience. Experience in loan underwriting – including the ability to analyze credit quality and application information, and to review and interpret financial statements – is required. Familiarity with Dun & Bradstreet is required.
