Wawa Set to Add 5,000 Jobs in Next Three Months

By

Wawa is slated to add 5,000 workers across six states over the next three months, writes Alison Burdo of the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Delco-based convenience store chain recently announced the company-wide hiring plans, saying that the store associate positions will be available at nearly all of its approximately 700 stores located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.

At least 100 of the stores will host an open house for interested applicants. The details of the open house, including dates and times, will be advertised at the individual stores holding the events.

Many of the positions will be seasonal.

“We’re specifically looking for individuals who want to join our team for the busy summer season and as well those who might be interested in the start of a fulfilling career at Wawa,” Dave Filano, Wawa’s talent acquisition manager, said in a statement.

Wawa already employs about 26,000 associates.
