Jane Win, the Wayne-based jewelry company founded by former Lilly Pulitzer executive Jane Paradis, has landed a new investment from Timex, Digital Fuel Capital, and NewSpring Capital to fuel its next stage of growth, writes Nishanth Bhargava for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Main Line brand launched in 2017 and built its name on coin pendants and other affordable luxury pieces designed around meaning and milestones.
Since then, it has grown into a 14-person operation working out of office and showroom space in Wayne, with lines that now span necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
The new backing brings three distinct kinds of muscle to the table.
Timex, the watchmaker, lends deep consumer brand experience, sourcing knowledge and jewelry-adjacent manufacturing expertise.
Digital Fuel Capital, a Boston firm focused on e-commerce and direct-to-consumer businesses, is expected to sharpen Jane Win’s online sales strategy.
NewSpring Capital, based in Radnor, took an equity position and provided subordinated debt.
That mix maps closely to how the brand actually sells.
Paradis said direct-to-consumer purchases account for roughly 90 percent of Jane Win’s sales, which makes Digital Fuel’s e-commerce background especially valuable.
She also pointed to Timex as a steadying partner at a moment when precious metal prices keep climbing.
Gold sat under $1,300 an ounce when Jane Win launched in December 2017. It’s recently traded around $4,300 an ounce, raising the stakes on reliable sourcing.
“Jane Win brings a distinctive consumer brand with strong emotional resonance,” said Timex Group CEO Tobias Reiss-Schmidt.
Radnor investment bank, Fairmount Partners, represented the company in the completed transactions. Terms of the deals and future growth targets were not disclosed.
The investment places Jane Win among a growing group of jewelry brands drawing private capital.
